Bloober Team, the developers of last year’s Observer: System Redux and this year’s The Medium, are working with Dreamloop Games to bring the second entry in their Layers of Fear series to the Nintendo Switch. The game will release next week on the Nintendo eShop.
Layers of Fear 2 is a psychological horror game that has players take control of a Hollywood actor on an ocean liner that’s starring in a new movie being directed by an eccentric director. Much like the first game, Layers of Fear 2 creates a surreal and psychedelic horror experience that will have you questioning what’s real and what’s not. It’s up to you to explore the vessel, understand your past, and find out the truth of why you’re there. But don’t worry, you won’t be alone on your adventure, because you will be accompanied by an ominous score composed by Arkadiusz Reikowski, conducted by George Strezov, and performed by the Sofia Session Orchestra.
Layers of Fear 2 originally released back in May of 2019 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game currently has a “Mostly Positive” rating on Steam with almost 1.5k reviews. Layers of Fear 2 will release on May 20 on the eShop for $29.99. You can also pre-order now to get a special 10% discount. Click here to watch the Switch announcement trailer.
