Even though Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is still a while away, you don’t have to wait long to return to World of Darkness. Unveiled at Summer Game Fest, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt is a free-to-play vampire battle royale set in the cult classic RPG universe.
Developed by Sharkmob, Bloodhunt puts you in the middle of a vampire war in the city of Prague. Triggered by the arrival of strike teams of The Second Inquisition and targeted by a secret society called the Entity, the vampire sects are at odds. You must rise from this conflict as the ultimate vampire by using your supernatural powers and cold hard weapons to take down the enemy.
With Prague in lockdown, the city becomes your playground as you perform gravity-defying jumps and stylish slides to get to the target. You choose your Clan allegiance, which will in turn define your playstyle. Sharkmob wants to make it clear that while players can fully customize their characters to express their personalities, the game will have no pay-to-win mechanics.
“It’s great to finally unveil what the team has been working on since the inception of the studio. Our goal is to deliver a mature, unique experience for the genre. We hope Bloodhunt will become just that for fans of both battle royale games and Vampire: The Masquerade alike,” said Fredrik Rundqvist, CEO of Sharkmod.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodunt is set to release later this year on PC. You can wishlist the game now on Steam, but if you’re chomping at the bits to play it early, you can take sign-up to take part in the Closed Alpha starting on July 2.
