Today launches the beginning of this year’s all digital E3 2021 conference. One of the first big conferences for the event is Ubisoft Forward, there were plenty of rumors surrounding this showcase, but in this article, we are only going to discuss what was actually announced. After an hour-long pre-show that gave us a look at a few games, like the new season for For Honor called Mirage, a discussion about creating accessible gaming for everyone, and more. The conference itself showcased many of their upcoming games, and a bit about their shows/movies coming soon.

We got our first look at the story and gameplay of the next installment in the Rainbow Six series, Rainbow Six Extraction. This will be a 1-3 player co-op game where you will team up to take on the alien invasion, but you must remain on your toes as if you die, you will lose all of your progress and upgrades. This game will be released on all consoles except for Nintendo Switch on September 16 with cross-play.
Rocksmith+ is a subscription service to help you learn guitar and bass, but this is different from the game as you can now use your phone to connect to your computer and it will monitor your progress technique by technique.
Rainbow Six Siege will be getting Cross-Play and Cross Progression for PC, Stadia, Luna on June 30 with Xbox and PlayStation support coming in early 2022. During this announcement, we also got our first look at one of the new operators, Thunderbird, that will be coming to Rainbow Six Siege with North Star next week.
Ubisoft proudly announced that Valhalla will be the first Assassin’s Creed game to be supported in its second year of launch. Just last month we saw a new DLC drop for the game and this summer we will get The Siege of Paris followed by even more DLC in 2022. It will include new abilities, gear, weapons, and enemies. There is also a free experience called Discovery Tour Viking Age that Ubisoft will give to everyone who owns Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to teach people about the Viking era.
We also have our first look at post-launch content coming to Far Cry 6. A new surreal game mode has you play as villains from the previous installments (Vaaas, Pagan, Joseph) as you travel through their minds. This DLC along with Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon will be included in the Far Cry 6 Season Pass.
After a quick look at Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, which, despite rumors, will not be getting released until 2022, we received the grand finale that was quite the surprise. Avatar Frontiers of Pandora will be coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2022.
Going into the world of movies, we also got an extra preview for Werewolves Within, the movie based on the Ubisoft game that is releasing in theaters on June 25 and on VOD on July 2. There was also a trailer for Mythic Quest which just released its second season on Apple TV+.
Then the one more thing. After a brief message from the President and CEO of Ubisoft, Yves Guillemot, we saw the world premiere trailer for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. We knew that Massive, the team behind The Division 2 and the recently announced open-world Star Wars project, were working on a video game adaptation of the sci-fi adventure movie series, but this was our first look at it. Frontiers of Pandora will have you playing as a Na’vi in a standalone first-person open-world adventure. The trailer looked vibrant and it was a big surprise to all of us. Ubisoft really went out on a bang.
