The show started with the reveal of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake being a PlayStation 5 exclusive. We also got the gameplay preview for Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, the new adventure in the Borderlands universe which will be coming out in March 2022.
After making the announcement earlier this week, we got the first trailer for Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake Remastered, which will bring the game to PlayStation consoles for the first time.
Next up, we got an update on Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online. Originally slated to release in November, the next-gen version of the game has been delayed for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S until March of next year.
The new gameplay trailer for Guardian’s of the Galaxy showed off the game’s third-person shooting and aerial combat. Pre-orders are open now for the game.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt, a game that is currently in Early Access on Steam will be coming to the PlayStation 5 sometime this year.
Uncharted is coming back with a remaster of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Lost Legacy coming to PlayStation 5 and PC.
PlayStation Studios and Insomniac Games had a special teaser trailer for another collaboration with Marvel. This time bringing the rugged and bloody mutant Wolverine to life like never before. We actually just recently covered X-Men Origins: Wolverine Uncaged, discussing how it is the best superhero game that no one talks about. Now it’s time to see what the team behind Marvel’s Spider-Man can make.
Speaking of Marvel’s Spider-Man, we got a small teaser for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 featuring a glimpse at Venom. This teaser showed both Peter and Miles fighting side by side before coming across their new foe, one that will be familiar to those who played the first Spider-Man game from Insomniac.
The show ended with a new trailer for 2018’s God of War‘s sequel, now officially titled God of War: Ragnarok. The trailer showed off some smooth new gameplay for the game in a pretty polished state, though there was no release date at the end of the trailer.
This was a crazy event packed with reveals. While there were not a lot of release date announcements, we still got back-to-back surprises at the end with Insomniac Games shouldering a lot of responsibility for the hype with two big new announcements.
