Saber Interactive and iLLOGIKA, along with EP1T0ME, have announced the development of a video game inspired by the acclaimed film series from Paramount Pictures, A Quiet Place. The game will be a new single-player, story-driven horror game and will be the first official game in the universe of A Quiet Place. It is unclear which characters, if any, will make an appearance in the game, though the game’s official site states that it will be an untold story and not just a retelling of the movie plot.
For those who haven’t watched the movies, A Quiet Place is set in a world where aliens hunt humans by sound, meaning survival is tied with silence. Hervé Sliwa, Creative Director at iLLOGIKA, the Montreal-based development studio, says that the game “will let fans experience the tension of the films with a level of immersion they’ve never felt before” and they go on to say how excited the team is to work with EP1T0ME and Saber Interactive. Todd Hollenshead, Head of Publishing at Saber Interactive, had the following to say about the game:
The amazing success of the A Quiet Place movies makes it clear audiences are hungry for more adventures in this universe, and iLLOGIKA is creating their own truly engaging experience that lives up to the name of this beloved property. We are proud to say that A Quiet Place is the first game we will be releasing by an external studio from the growing Saber publishing label.
More information about the A Quiet Place game will be revealed later this year, perhaps at The Game Awards in just a few weeks. iLLOGIKA is a studio that has previously co-developed projects such as Cuphead, Lara Croft Go, and the world-record-breaking Hunger Games exhibition at MGM Grand Las Vegas. Saber Interactive is a worldwide publisher that has released games like World War Z, SnowRunner, and the upcoming Evil Dead: The Game. A Quiet Place, the game, is currently slated to release sometime in 2022.
