Earlier today, if you saw Ubisoft tweet “oh hi @XboxGamePass” followed by Xbox Game Pass tweeting back “Oh hi to you as well, @Ubisoft. well this was a good interaction, nothing more to extract from it… bye!” and thought that it was a tease for something down the road, then you would be correct. How far down the road you ask? Not very. Twenty minutes after that exchange, Ubisoft announced that Ubisoft+ is coming to Xbox and that Rainbow Six Extraction is coming to Xbox Game Pass.
Going off their press release, these are two distinct announcements. The first pertains to the fact that Ubisoft’s game subscription service is coming to the Xbox family of consoles. The other refers to Ubisoft’s upcoming game, Rainbow Six Extraction, releasing day one on Xbox Game Pass. Bundled together, it can be easily taken for Ubisoft+ is coming to Xbox Game Pass. That being said, Ubisoft says more information about the topic will come at a later date. This means there is still time for Xbox to strike a deal like they did for EA Play and announce that Ubisoft+ will also be added to the Game Pass library. But until then, and as of now, that is not the case.
Ubisoft+ is currently available on PC as well as Google Stadia and Amazon Luna with the higher subscription tier. The PC Access plan costs $14.99 per month and the Multi-Access plan costs $17.99 per month. This gives you access to over 100 Ubisoft games, with Premium Editions that include DLC and Season Passes, along with day-one access to new releases.
Rainbow Six Extraction is set to release on January 20 and will be available on Xbox Game Pass on that date. Also on that date, Rainbox Six Siege, which is currently only available on Xbox Game Pass, will then also be added to Xbox Game Pass for PC. As for Ubisoft+, there is no exact date on when that will be released. We will update this page if a date is announced.
