Developed in partnership with renowned action specialists, PlatinumGames, Babylon’s Fall is a co-op action RPG from Square Enix and marks the latest collaboration between the studios since 2017’s NieR: Automata. Featuring fluid combat, powerful weapons, and a unique brushwork art style, take on the Tower of Babel alone or with up to three other players.
Babylon’s Fall takes place after the Babylonians perished and only their great tower “The Ziggurat” remained. Now a new empire has come to pillage its ruins and uncover its fabled treasures. Join forces with other Sentinels, unwilling subjects forcibly implanted with Gideon Coffin, relics that grant the few survivors unrivaled powers. Only by mastering your Gideon Coffin can you unlock your true potential and reach the summit of the tower.
Babylon’s Fall is out now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. Square Enix has announced that there will be post-launch content releasing for the game including new game modes, ongoing story content, and additional weapon types. The Premium Battle Pass will be free for all players during Season 1. It is important to note that the game does require a persistent internet connection to play.
With how little promotion there has been for Babylon’s Fall, it will be interesting to see how the game is received by the player base. As VGC pointed out, the game has currently only reached a peak concurrent player count of 650 on Steam. That number will likely go up by the end of the day but it will be a surprise if it is significantly more. If you have played Babylon’s Fall, let us know down in the comments what you think about it.
