In 2022, Deep Silver Volition released Saints Row, a reboot of the open-world action-adventure series that started in 2006 with a game of the same name. Set in the fictional American Midwest-inspired city of Santo Ileso, the story follows a young new group of friends that start their own gang in a city already being torn apart by Panteros, the Idols, and the Marshalls. Saints Row was released on August 23, 2022 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Google Stadia. Following the release, Saints Row did receive three DLC expansions: The Heist & The Hazardous, Doc Ketchum’s Murder Circus, and A Song Of Ice And Dust. Unfortunately, Deep Silver Volition announced in September 2023 that after 30 years in the industry, the studio was closing its doors. Along with Saints Row games, Volition is also notable for its Red Faction series.
