Tate Multimedia and Trialforge Studio have announced that their unique party-based Soulslike, Deathbound, is coming to consoles and PC next month. Set in a harsh world where Faith clashes with Science, in Deathbound you must refuse Death and embrace Ziêminal by bonding with fallen warriors encountered on your journey.
Using a dynamic 4-hero party system, the game lets you seamlessly transform between characters mid-combat. Success relies on teamwork, with each comrade having unique skills, combat techniques, and backstories. The interactions between characters influence gameplay, causing different outcomes and status effects.
For example, pairing characters from the Church of Death and Cult of Life (two opposing factions) will create conflict and impactful combat effects. Conversely, teaming up fallen warriors with shared beliefs can grant powerful combat buffs.
