Creed: Rise to Glory is an Intense Workout

Having recently rolled credits on my first VR game, I decided to keep the virtual reality train going with Creed: Rise to Glory. With over 15 hours in BoxVR, I thought I was prepared for virtual boxing but Rise to Glory prove to be a step above the empty room with glowing orbs floating towards your head that I was used to.

As is expected, Creed: Rise to Glory sort of replays the story beats (and fights) from the first Creed movie. Although Michael B. Jordan does reprise his titular role as Adonis Creed’s son, this isn’t really a game you play for the narrative. It’s one where you put on your physical headset and virtual gloves to punch at opponents, which will give you the calories-burning immersive experience you thought you had when playing Wii Sports Boxing.

Check out the full video to hear my thoughts on Creed: Rise to Glory. I reviewed the PlayStation VR version of the game but it is also available on the PlayStation VR2, Meta Quest 2, and Oculus. There is also a Championship Edition of the game that brings better haptive feedback, dynamic 3D spatial audio, new story chapters and locations based on Creed III, and PvP cross-platform support. If you have a suggestion for another VR game for me to check out, leave it in the comments below!
